I would have taken a photo of the Apple Fritters but I ate them too fast. They are simply amazing. If you live anywhere within 100 miles of this place, stop what you're doing and drive there now. Open 5 am because no one can wait until 7. I don't even like donuts but this is a whole new level of awesomeness.

I usually shy away from donuts given the load of empty calories they pack. But on Saturday we stopped to get some apple fritters for an elderly lady we were going to visit. So what the heck, we got ourselves an apple fritter and a jelly donut for good measure. Well what can I say but these donuts are truly outstanding. Plus, where can you get this kind of quality at $1.25 a pop? We will definitely be going back and sharing the wealth with our neighbors.

These donuts are absolutely delicious. I used to go here every week or two for my cheat meal and would order about half a dozen just for myself. I am a huge fan of the apple fritter (try to get there at 7am when they are nice and fresh), the simple glazed, the boston creme, and all the random flavors they will have sometimes. Just writing this review is making my mouth water. The gods of Olympus often dined upon ambrosia and until I visited Abbe's donut shop I had not a clue what such a substance could taste like andddd then I bit into an apple fritter and it altered my world. I was thrown into a vast expanse of a universe I had never known before. I bounced upon cinnamon glazed clouds and ran along baked apple roads. Yes, I was in a non-drug induced trip but my fall was comforted by the pillows of sweet dough sticky with an omnipresent glaze of perfection. I have studied religion for many years, sought truth in science and logic but I did not reach Nirvana until I sampled Abbe's.

Best Apple Fritters I've ever had! Reasonable price too. My wife doesn't want me to get them because she thinks they're fattening, but they're worth it !

Abbe's doughnuts are AMAZING. I would drive 30 min each way for one of their APPLE FRITTERS. Gigantic gob of fried dough with actual slices of sweet apple peeking out through the beautiful glaze and deep fried to a perfect outer crisp. TO. DIE. FOR. The raised chocolate glaze is my 2nd fav. Twice as high as your average raised and melts in your mouth. This place is a true dive - no frills - just the real doughnut deal. If you are a lover of doughnuts, this place is worth a stop on any road trip along I-75. Warning : This will become a serious addiction. I'm 5 months clean and looking fwd to my relapse!

We recently moved to North Port and were looking for a local donut shot. Abbe's didn't disappoint. The donuts are awesome. We love their vanilla creme donuts, but all of them are great. It's hard to choose! Fritters are wonderful if that's your thing. Pretty much, get anything and it's awesome. This may look like a dinky place in a run-down strip mall, but this is THE place for donuts in the area.

Oh My GOODNESS!!! I had a vanilla frosted and a honey dipped. The best donuts I've had since I was a kid when I would make them at home with my father. If you are in the area, you should really stop by and get a taste!

My husband and I went out of our way to find a donut shop that wasn't a chain. Abbe's donut shop is terrific! On the recommendation of other Yelp posts I had an apple fritter....OH MY, it was excellent! We had their cake donuts, chocolate frosting with nuts and one with coconut, delicious!Coffee not fancy. My husband's comment.......buy extras!!!!!

The product is to die for. It's been said by the other reviewers of this location... nothing fancy, a hole in the wall, tiny shop with the most amazing selection of donuts (calling these items donuts is an insult). Always busy, lots of locals hanging out at the out door tables. Cheap? No. Amazing quality? YES! A real treat.

In Saugus MA there is Kanes Donuts, in Southwick MA they have Ms. Murphy's. In North Port they have Abbes. A small donut shop rich in history, probably been there 40 or 50 years. One or two tables inside and a few more outside. The regulars help themselves to coffee and 2 other customers offered me a cup of the black gold, but no thanks i'll enjoy my fresh Florida OJ. There were lots of "fat pills" to choose from. I had an apple fritter, it was very dense and filling, most people would share it or save some for later, but no me. I ate the whole thing and and skipped the $5 hot dogs at the baseball stadium.

Abbe's has the best donuts I have had. Great hang out for the Q-tip set and fun place to talk. It is must if in the area. I am addicted to the glazed with maple frosting.
